Antique 19th C Sea Chest Original Old Green Blue Paint & Sailor Becket Handles

A beautiful 19th c sea chest with outstanding rope beckets or handles. Lovely deep greenish blue color. When sunlight hits the sides the color is superb.

Condition is very very good, solid, with no rot on base. THis has been stored well over the decades.

Wood appears to be thick pine, perhaps southern yellow pine. 41 x 16 x 17 inches tall. Weighs maybe 60 pounds or so. We search for unusual, unique, beautiful, quirky and historic items in New England, the majority of which are acquired here in our native Massachusetts.
