Made in Esslingen, Germany by F. Measuring 20" long with a hand-forged carbon steel 14.25" blade, the first thing we notice about it is its extra-wide blade, which is 3 at the heel of the blade. This is a significant upgrade over a standard knife of the same length, because the additional width offers extra knuckle-clearance to permit a much faster speed of chopping, dicing, mincing, etc.

As well as quite a few more years of optimal service. The quality of steel in this knife is amazing, as you'd rightly expect from any F. Dick knife of this vintage, which dates to the years between WWI and WWII.

Handles are genuine ebony and the presence of the medallion with Dick's arrow logo indicates it was a top-quality piece when new, as it still is today. Though used and sharpened--EXPERTLY--condition is excellent in every way with no problems of any kind. Just look at it--a thing of beauty and a work of the cutler's art. In one key way, too, it is BETTER than when it was new, having been given a professionally applied edge for this sale which leaves it sharper than when new. Even the most jaded user will find this knife a revelation-guaranteed.
