Using some of the finest steel ever affixed to a chef's knife, and is stamped, along with their flying arrow logo, FOSTER BROS.

At 14.5 ounces this cleaver hs plenty of heft yet is still comparatively lighter than most Foster Bros. It not only looks beautiful but feels beautifully balanced in the hand, which will be, for most users, a most pleasant surprise. Like all carbon steel cutlery, it will rust if not properly kept dry, but takes a RAZOR edge like no other, and outperforms stainless steel in almost every way. You must wipe it down after each use but its beauty and superior performance are worth it.

Best of all, perhaps, it has been given a professionally applied and RAZOR keen edge that will amaze even many veteran chefs and butchers. CAUTION: a careless user may find himself in the ER seeking fingers. Condition is beautiful, as you can see, with no problems of any kind, with a wonderful patina over its fluted walnut handle and carbon steel blade, which is anchored at bolster using a dome-shaped carbon steel ferrule, then iron-riveted over a full and tapered tang. It will provide its lucky new user with heirloom quality for use, for display and for posterity--for many years to come.
