The blade of this very old carbon steel chef knife is 11" in length with an overall length of 16.5". Knife i s in overall good condition, with some obvious sharpening marks and a couple of small areas of pitting which is very common with carbon steel blades. Their is a hairline crack on one scale at the butt of the knife, but the handle is still tight to the tang with absolutely no movement.

There are a couple of small dings along the spine of the blade with tool usage during its history. Th e name Sabatier is considered to imply a high-quality knife produced by one of a number of manufacturers in the Theirs region of France using a fully forged process. Due to the collectible nature of our knives we do not sharpen them before sending off, therefore these knifes may require sharpening before intended use.
