Vintage Fine Nice Vietnam Era US Military Cimeter Slicing Knife. With Wide Thick Stiff Carbon Steel Blade & Wood Handle Made by. Foster Brothers Cutlery Company was founded by Frank and Allie Foster in 1878 in Fulton, New York.
In 1904, John Chatillon & Sons Company acquired Foster Brothers Cutlery and changed the name to Foster Bros & Chatillon Company. Its brands include Foster, Fulton, & Gold Star. This knife has the blade forged from the fine carbon steel. Designed to take a finer edge and hold it longer providing sharp cutting satisfaction.The handle is triple riveted over the full tang to sure fitting to make it both easy and comfortable to use. It has the wonderful condition. Weight 10 - 11 oz. Maintenance Suggestion: Hand wash only in warm water after using, especially if used on foods that have acidic sauce/liquid.
