Vintage Fine Hammer Forged Style Chef Knife with Carbon Steel Blade & Wood Handle Made by W. Case & Son Cutlery Company. By 4 brothers William Russel, Jean, John, & Andrew Case in 1889 in Bradford, Pennsylvania.

This knife has the blade hammer forged from the fine carbon steel designed to take a finer edge and hold it longer providing sharp cutting satisfaction.

The handle is triple riveted over the full tang to sure fitting for durability, strength, & balance. It is the most versatile of all knives. Use for most vegetables and fruits for cutting into chunks, julienne strips, bias cut, dicing or slicing. It has the good condition. In 1970, Case added ten dots on all knifes.

Each year a dot was removed. Weight 7 - 8 oz.

Maintenance Suggestion: Hand wash only in warm water after using, especially if used on foods that have acidic sauce/liquid. After washing it, wipe the blade and handle completely dry.
