This exceptionally fine vintage Henckels slicing knife was made in Solingen, Germany over 60 years ago with rosewood handles and a carbon steel blade with integral bolster and full tang construction that is much more thinly forged and tapered than a contemporary Henckels (or Wusthof) knife of the same size and style. It has been used very little and is offered here in superb condition, better than new in one key, having been given a professionally applied edge for the purpose of this sale.

It's ready to serve a useful lifetime of creating PAPER-THIN slices of your favorite meats, poultry, fish, onions, tomatoes or whatever else you put in its way. It's beautifully balanced in your hand, with an ebony handle that is as warm in the hand as it is easy on the eye, triple-riveted to the full tang. Without doubt, this is one of the finest and most versatile kitchen knives you'll ever use--lightweight, balanced and as beautiful to look at as it is to use. You might not be aware that Henckels knives began to use recycled steel stock in 1987, but this knife was made prior to that (pre-Four Star, pre-Pro "S") from virgin iron ore.
