Vintage Hand Forged Style Lamb Splitter Butcher Knife with Carbon Steel Blade and Wood Handle. Wusthof was founded in 1814 in Soligen of Germany. It was owned privately by the same family for seven generations.
All of the knives and forks are precision forged through a manufacturing process of 40 steps. It is well-known for making quality kitchen shears, pocket knives and other cooking accessories.
This knife is made in the famous city of blade Solingen, Germany. Solingen is renowned for manufacturing of fine swords, knives, scissors, and razors.
Has the blade hand forged from the carbon steel. The handle is triple riveted over the full tang to sure fitting for durability, strength, & balance. WUSTHOF - DREIZACKWERK --- ca. Pitting patina on both sides of the blade and cracked handle (last three photos), blade structure and handle structure are good.Maintenance Suggestion: Hand wash only in warm water after using, especially if used on foods that have acidic sauce/liquid.
