1930s Vintage 12 Curved Carbon Steel Blade Scimitar Butcher Knife

1930s Vintage 12 Curved Blade - UNMARKED - Carbon Steel Breaking/ Breaker Butcher Knife. Vintage Scimitar Butcher Knife with Blackened Carbon Steel Blade & Wood Handle. This knife has the blade hand forged from the fine carbon steel and tempered to achieve greater toughness providing the long-lasting keen edge cut-ability. The handle is secured with three pins over the full tang to good fitting for durability, strength, & balance.

This knife is used to break-down whole animals into smaller cuts. Pitting & patina on both sides of the blade (normal for hi-carbon steel, prevents corrosion), blade structure & handle structure are good. One insignificant nick in the blade, detailed in picture.

Missing 1/2 a brass pin. Hand wash only with warm water after using, especially if used on foods that are acidic. After washing, wipe the blade and handle completely dry.
