Vintage Fully Forged Style US Military Heavy Chef Knife with Carbon Steel Blade & Wood Handle. Clyde Cutlery Company was founded in 1850 in Clyde, Ohio. This knife has the blade fully forged from the fine carbon steel. Designed to take a finer edge and hold it longer providing sharp cutting satisfaction. The handle is triple riveted over the full tang to sure fitting to make it both easy and comfortable to use. This knife has the shape of a chef knife and the heavy weight of a cleaver. Hand wash only in warm water after using, especially if used on foods that have acidic sauce/liquid. After washing it, wipe the blade and handle completely dry.
