Five piece place setting in box. Each of these sets is in perfect condition and appear unused. Each set comes in a lidded box with blue felt lining. Pewter handle and stainless steel utensil.
The handles feature scenes associated with King Olav Hielag Olav as seen on the top scene with the archer. The second scene says "Og Hans menn" and his warriors are featured with armor, shields and weapons. In the year 1030 A. King Olav the Saint (the only Viking king so honored) and many of his men sacrificed their lives for Christianity at the famous battle of Stiklestad, Norway.
This is the inspiration for the Royal Pewter design. The King and his men are portrayed on this unique collection. The design is featured on both the front and back of each piece.It is preferable to wash pewter by hand but the back of the box says these items are "guaranteed for dishwashers" though they will darken faster.
