Vintage 12 pc GERBER Legendary Blades Carving Set & Steak Knives in Case READ
Vintage 12 piece GERBER Legendary Blades carving set and steak knives in wood case. All are marked Gerber U. These appear to have never been used, however, some kind of chemical reaction went on inside the case as it was closed up for 50+ years. Looks like the formaldehyde foam padding offgased and evenly etched all the chrome on the handles all the way around. They actually feel and look like they were sandblasted! In any event the handles are non-slip now! Not a bad idea considering these were called the knives that cut steell! A must have for the avid collector!
