Vintage Nogent-Style Chef's Paring Knife with Sharp Carbon Steel Blade & Black Composite Handle. It exports a wide range of knives and straight razors to approximately 30 countries. This is the professional high end quality Chef's knife produced from the Thiers region in France with a Nogent-style process.
Blade, bolster, and rat-tail tang are forged from a single piece of steel and fitted with a handle. A hand shaping and sharpening process using local skilled labour. This knife has the blade forged from the fine carbon steel designed to take a finer edge and hold it longer providing sharp cutting satisfaction.
The tang is fitted with the handle to sure fitting to make it both easy and comfortable to use. Weight 1 - 2 oz.
Maintenance Suggestion: Hand wash only in warm water after using, especially if used on foods that have acidic sauce/liquid. After washing it, wipe the blade and handle completely dry.
