Vintage Christofle Duo 42pc Complete Silver Plate Cutlery Set Knife Fork Spoon
Welcome to William Sharpe Antiques. Here today for your consideration we have this superb vintage forty-two piece complete silver plated cutlery set, made by Christofle of France, c-1950's. This incredible set has been produced in the Duo design by Tapio Wirkkala, and exudes mid-century modern flair and exceptional quality. This is a complete setting for six persons, including dinner knives. Forks, table/soup spoons, dessert spoons and teaspoons. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. A few pieces have evidence of minor plate wear at the surface contact position, but nothing too serious. Each piece is free from monogram or crest, and the hallmarks are clearly struck throughout. A very fine and elegant setting from arguably the finest quality French silversmiths. The knives measure 21cm and 18cm long, the forks 19cm and 17.5cm long, and the spoons 19cm, 17.5cm and 13.5cm long.
